Key Points Summary
Attainment 8 and GCCE performance remain above the national average .
Using old table measures we remain significantly above national averages.
The gender gap closed for the third year running and is now well below the national average.
Several pupils were on alternative provision which impacted heavily on the progress 8 score of -0.19 in 2016. Removing these pupils would give a score of +0.01. The school recognised that these pupils were at risk of exclusion but we felt compelled to secure a better future through positive intervention of carefully monitored alternative provision.
54.3% of pupils took 3 single sciences compared to 21% nationally in 2015.
41.7% of Pupil Premium pupils achieved 5 A*-C EM. This is an improvement from 2015 of 6.2%.
